The Multilingual Open Educational Resources Platform for Architecture and Construction will be fully developed ad-hoc according to target needs and no preconfigured system will be used in order to extreme user-friendliness of this output and improve users’ experience (UX). It will work as a self-standing repository of language corpora and training contents presenting them in an easy-to-use and effective way so that users can make the most of this tool. It will be responsive and mobile-friendly in order to boost DISSEMINATION strategies and reach the highest number of users.

It will be multilanguage in order to address the entire EU geographic area covered by the consortium or even further away, thanks to the availability online of Russian contents to spread project impact also in non EU areas.

Contents will be categorized and arranged so that they will be easy to find, ready accessible and easily browsed through smart browsing functionalities. Dynamic routing strategies will be applied to the platform to training contents in order boost users’ access to trainings.

Categorization will be ADAPTED TO TRAINING NEEDS and it can be widened at any time thus guaranteeing FUTURE SUSTAINABILITY of the tool. By the same token contents will be easily uploaded form the back office thus ensuring easiness of content management and fostering adoption of the tool within the consortium and among stakeholders. No login will be required, unless strictly needed to improve quality of training, in order to avoid registration obstacles that could impede OPENESS OF THE RESOURCE, yet learning stats of usage and download of contents will be provided in order to monitor the OER-Platform usability and effectiveness.
The platform and its contents will be linked to the biggest SOCIAL NETWORKS available nowadays offering the possibility to the users to share training contents on facebook and twitter thus fostering social network interaction.

In addition, OER-Platform is targeted to the Higher Education and Adult Education “ecosystem” composed of public, private and third sectors:

  • students and scholars in Architecture and Construction;
  • students and scholars in Specialized Translation in the field of: Architecture and Construction, Tourism and Architectural Heritage;
  • social actors (Trade Unions, social groups, etc);
  • public agencies (mainly at local level) working on the various aspects of adult education, employability.

The OER-Platform will serve as the key means to promote the use and mainstream the key Outputs of the project, the SEAH-training and resources will be made available to the public in 5 languages (French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish).

At inception, partners will define the platform in terms of structure, content and functionalities. The partnership will ensure full consistency, compatibility and connectivity with official and institutionalOER sources and resources.

The SEAH-Project platforms’ greatest innovation is that at present there are no OER platforms solely dedicated to multilingual teaching tools in the field of Architecture and Construction tailored on the users needs (in structuring the platform, developing the content, ensuring relevance in terms of access, usability and impact). Another innovation is in the practical and operational approach of SEAH in designing and implementing the platform: SEAH- OER Platform is designed by linguists and language teaching scholars in collaboration with Architecture and Construction scholars, the Official Architects Associations and boards representatives, as well as private Stakeholders. Intellectual Output 2 ("Multilingual Open Educational Resources (OER) Platform for Architecture and Construction") is crucial to guarantee and sustain the impact of the SEAH-Project as it provides the Platform that makes available (for free and without restrictions) all Intellectual Outputs and, in particular, training contents and reference materials.
